Seriously, there are so many great pictures from this wedding, it took us so long just to narrow it down to these! Melissa and Dan are super photogenic and since we had a little extra time for pictures, we went all out! A lot of these were taken after the wedding, some with the coolest classic car and some in Jacksonville, Oregon.
They got married in Medford, Oregon in a perfect garden ceremony in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by the wonderful Northwest foliage. Reminds me of home in Seattle – though still don’t miss all the rain it takes to get it that green. Melissa has the greatest smile and was so fun to work with! We wish these two love birds all the happiness in the world!
Michael and Lisa got hitched on the most popular day of the year! 08-08-08! Family came in from all over the country to witness this celebration and they had a great party. Michael did some entertaining at the reception with some singing and hip hop dancing!
Dan & Melissa are so fun to be with. We took a little trip down to Union Station in LA to shoot their engagement photos. Then when we came back, a perfect sunset was calling to us. There’s a moment of twilight that lasts only a few minutes, so we used some off camera strobes to create some cool lighting effects….check out the last few photos to see how they turned out. We are super excited about how they look!
Dan & Melissa are getting married September 13th in Oregon. Plus Dan is from Washington – a little hometown connection for us!
How fun is this?! We spent the day at the Orange County Fair with Matt & Brittany, soaking up some sun, and capturing a little fair magic. Not only did Matt & Brittany score the quintessential fair food – corn dogs & funnel cake – but he also won her a stuffed teddy bear!** We also took a ride on the ferris wheel which is actually much scarier than it seems from down below. The baskets were VERY tippy and it was pretty disconcerting that in big red letters on the back of the seat in front of me it said “DANGER! DO NOT ROCK” Doesn’t that just make you wonder?
Brittany deserves special applause for her red high heels. She looked amazing but her feet paid the price by the end of the day! Wish we could post all the images cause there are so many great ones — can’t wait for the January 2nd wedding!
(**Editors note: the truth is Brittany actually popped two ballons with her darts while Matt hit one. The nice carnival lady gave them the total of both and their choice of a stuffed animal, which as you can see is more of a stuffed polar bear than a teddy bear….but hey, at least someone won the cute memento!)

Can you believe she is due at the beginning of August! So cute and so tiny! We had to move the shoot and ended up shooting pretty close to Tara’s due date. Usually maternity photos are done around 7 months or so, but Tara was a trooper walking around, sitting, standing, and being a great sport even though she is almost 9 months pregnant! I was crossing my fingers that she didn’t go into labor on my watch! But alas, the bun is still in the oven.
